Ezera Beyene

Family Programs Educator
Ezera Beyene is a 21-year-old Toronto-born actor, currently enrolled at the University of Toronto and having completed his first year in the Performance Studies program. His first professional work was done in the summer of 2017 where he participated in Canadian Stage’s Youth Initiative Program: Territorial Tales. The project was done in collaboration with Shakespeare in High Park where he and several other actors presented work written by first-generation-born Canadians speaking about their experiences of displacement as they acclimated themselves to their new surroundings. Since then he has gone on to work with companies like Hart House Theatre and festivals such as RePLAY and InspiraTO.
Ezera hopes to continue his education in drama while continuing to explore new opportunities, learning and growing as an actor. This summer he is fortunate to be working with Roseneath Theatre as their Summer Camp Coordinator. He is excited to apply his knowledge and leadership skills as an air cadet Warrant Officer Second Class to this new position. Thanks to this experience Ezera has an aptitude for cultivating summer camp opportunities for children and young adults.
