Courtney Pyke has been active in theatre, dance and musical performance since 1997. She began her career working as a student on small touring productions while living in Northern Ontario. Her schooling then took her to Southern Ontario, where she graduated from the University of Guelph’s Theatre Studies program with a strong technical focus. She was also a work-study participant in The Banff Centre’s Lighting Production program as part of their 75th anniversary season. Courtney has been touring mainly out of Toronto for over 6 years with companies such as Motus O Dance Theatre, Gadfly Dance, Ballet Jorgen, Mixed Company Theatre, mtspace, Tottering Biped Theatre, Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada and Kenny Wax & Nick Brook Productions.
Recent productions include; Air and First Dance for Tottering Biped Theatre (Burlington, touring), The Castle for Storefront/Red One Collective (Toronto), Addams Family for Randolph Academy (Toronto), Butcher for Why Not Theatre/The Theatre Centre (Toronto) Paradise for Gwaandak/mtspace (Kitchener/Whitehorse), An Evening of New Works by Claudia Schreier for Claudia Schreier/Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre/Fractured Atlas (New York City), The Nasty Show and Date Night for Just for Laughs Comedy Festival (Montreal), Titus Andronicus and As You Like It for Canadian Stage Company (Toronto), and Fantastic Extravagance and I Will Not Hatch! for Steady State Theatre Company (Toronto).
